Welcome back to Just For Fun Friday! On JFFF, we review items and activities that you can do with your kids in order to increase their cultural competence and diversity awareness.
This item is for when you just want, no make that need, to get something done. Sometimes you just have to use the TV - nothing else will stop your kids from running laps around the house. So why not give them a show that is engaging, fun, and teaches them about diversity? The Doc is a favorite in our house. I focus on one particular episode, which is available for purchase below, but the entire Doc McStuffins series can teach your kids something about diversity. So turn on the tube and let them watch a few - guilt-free.
After you watch the video, print out the page below for a quick reference guide on how to use the TV series, and this episode in particular, to develop diversity awareness. There's also a link below to buy the episode if you want to add it to your collection.
What did you say to your kids about Wildlife Will? What will be the next Doc episode that you watch with your kids? Leave a comment below.
Most of all enjoy the video. And don't forget to HAVE FUN!
Check back next week for another Just For Fun Friday!
